Chocolate Squares with Maria Biscuits

A dessert with chocolate topping sits on a decorative blue and white floral-patterned plate reminiscent of traditional Azores design. A metal spoon rests on the plate beside the dessert, hinting at a delightful Portuguese cooking recipe. The plate is positioned on a beige countertop.

1 14oz can of sweeten condensed milk
1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips or 6 ounces of semisweet chocolate chopped
1 tablespoon of salted butter
1/2 packet of Maria Biscuits, coarsely crushed

Instructions

Grease a 7 x 9 baking dish and leave aside.
In a small saucepan add the condensed milk, butter and chocolate and begin stirring over low heat for 5-8 minutes or until the chocolate completely melts.

Remove from heat and mix in the crushed Maria Biscuits, then pour into a greased baking dish and let cool and set for at least 3 hours… Overnight is best!!
After its set, cut into squares or spoon out and serve….Delicious!!
