Oh no!!
Most of the time it’s the yeast .. either it gets killed with too much heat or the yeast is too old.
Please don’t give up… this recipe is so good!!

I made your mothers sweet bread recipe and it was fabulous- today I decided to try the bolo recipe and something weird happened- the dough shrunk instead of rising/ I cannot figure out what I could have done wrong! Any comments are welcome- I am new in the world of sweet breads so I’m sure it is something I have done wrong- thank you!
